RESEARCH INTERESTS
Anton has found himself gravitating towards the interface between natural and synthetic polymers, be it from the perspective of stabilizing proteins or using polymer-protein hybrid materials for drug delivery. According to Anton, design space exploration of synthetic macromolecules in context of biomacromolecules is not entirely unlike deep space exploration, both in terms of getting lost and finding something unique and exciting.

ABOUT
Though the passport says he is born in Australia, Anton identifies as Danish having spent the majority of his life among Danes, enjoying pickled herring and coping with the un-Australian weather of Scandinavia. Prior to his studies he served with the Danish armed forces, though left due to the allure of student life. He has a taste of adventure and a history of entertaining too many hobbies. These include juggling, spear fishing, jazz, cooking and unicycling. His biggest passion is science, and Anton is blogging about the (mis)representation of science and chemistry in Danish media. While he was living in California, he tried to take advantage of the perpetually good weather as the sun seems dead set on neglecting northern Europe.
